How to resize and upload images.

"There are a few limitations on the photos that you upload. The images should be jpg, a type of compression. They should be maximally 800x800 in size (640x480 is also fine, or anything smaller!) and therefore larger photos should be resized to fit. Do not try to increase the size of smaller photos as this will distort the image.

There are two easy ways to do this. We recommend irfanview, a program that integrates into totalcommander or stands alone. One can download it from www.irfanview.com. After installation open your image in the program, choose from file menu - Image-Resize/Resample and then choose some of the "standard dimensions" like 640 or 800. Be sure to save the file again as a jpg file, higher quality.

Another program for XP users is Power Toy "ImageResizer" (from Microsoft). After you install it, click the right mouse button on the image and choose resize to whatever you want (640 or 800 pixels)."

Dear Users, If you wish to enter the categories of Photographers, Artists, or Musicians, you have to email the administrators at so they can add you to the group. Without being added to the group, you cannot upload photos.
